The increased performance of a Rotax 503 is nothing short of breath-taking!  This powerful engine is quiet, lightweight and miserly on fuel.  The Rotax 503 comes complete with carburetor, fuel pump, factory tuned exhaust, tool kit and owners manual.  The 503 is one of the highest horsepower Ultralight/homebuilt aircraft engines available  -- producing almost .8 hp per lb.  The 503 is ideally suited for powering heavier two place Ultralights, small homebuilt aircraft or standard Ultralight aircraft operating from high altitude base elevations.  This engine combines the highest quality European craftsmanship with modern technology.  All Rotax engines are the most technologically advanced two-cycle engine designs available.  The Rotax 503 is the perfect answer to your high horsepower - low weight requirements.

Below you will find the specs for the 503 Rotax.  Do remember that with this higher hp engine, the Challenger must be registered as a homebuilt experimental aircraft and the pilot must have at least a student pilots license.
