I do not do major
airframe repairs here on site, however I work
closely with a local A&P that is very good and he is
familiar with Challenger. We can do any type of
repair such as structural damage, recovering, etc.
Please contact me for pricing.
Rotax:
I
am an authorized Rotax Repair Station serving all of
Ohio. I am an ASE certified gasoline and diesel
technician by trade, as well as being Rotax factory
trained and certified and I personally do all of the
Rotax repairs myself. I do all types of repairs,
inspections, and overhauls of all Rotax two stroke
engines. Currently I do not work on the four stroke
models. The basic rate for a rebuild of any
air-cooled two stroke Rotax is $350 labor, and $450
for liquid cooled models if the engine is not locked
up. Gearbox removal inspection and reassembly is an
additional $50. If the prop shaft requires removal,
that is extra, but that is unusual. If the engine is
locked up, extra labor may apply. All parts will be
priced at current list price, the same as you buy
them anywhere else. All engines overhauled to Rotax
specs will carry a 90 day, 100 hour warranty. This
covers parts and labor of any defect in parts or
workmanship. In some cases engines may be
reassembled with parts that are out of spec if the
owner of the engine is aware of the situation and
makes the decision to do that, but the warranty will
not apply. Please be advised that if you choose to
fly a Rotax engine that is out of spec, you do so at
your own risk. In any case, once an engine is taken
apart and all parts inspected and measured, the
owner will be called with an explanation of what
needs done, and pricing before work is completed. Basic rate for additional work is $35 hr.
