Back ViewThe Stratomaster Smart Singles are a range of 2 1/4" instruments designed to do much, much more than your traditional 2 1/4" analog instruments. These digital instruments incorporate analog style graphical elements (such as bar graphs), but add intelligence from the microprocessor age (12V power required). Scroll down to view all the Smart Singles available and to see just how much computing power some of these instruments offer. (Octagonal hole required in panel). Backlit and sunlight readable.

Important Note: We recommend all digital instrument customers purchase a 33V high speed Transorb (see below). This should be used with a 0.5 Amp slow blow fuse (1 for all Smart Singles in the panel).

Note: Larger (3.5") Maxi Singles now also available.

33V High speed / High power transorb.

This device is recommended to be used to protect any electronic devices connected to an aircraft's power supply. The device works by clamping the voltage to a maximum of 33V. It can do this in a matter of a few billionths of a second and it can, for a short time, withstand a very large amount of power. We recommend that a single device is fitted to incoming power for the aircraft's instrument panel, following a fuse or circuit breaker. This device can protect any instrument including intercoms and radios. We include a sheet giving recommended placement of this device.

Please note: All Stratomaster instruments now have transorbs built into their circuitry. These can still be used to protect other avionics.

MAG-2 Digital Compass

Separate sensor package for MAG-1 and MAG-2 digital compasses.Matching the needs of all digital compass applications we are proud to present the first of three models of electronic, digital compasses. These compasses are designed to exactly match your budget and operating needs. All compasses are based on magneto-resistive sensors from Honeywell and offer outstanding performance. Feature rich, these compasses provide course steering indicators, can display magnetic or true heading and provide easy to use deviation compensation. All compasses come with a separate sensor package. This makes it possible to install the sensors in the best possible location in your aircraft and place the display where you want it. The MAG-2 is a three-axis magnetometer based compass. Excellent, professional level performance at an affordable price. This version includes accelerometer based tilt compensation. Relaxed installation requirements, no error due to bank or pitch alignment. This compass will still display errors during a turn due to the accelerometer not being able to vector gravity correctly, but it may be the best solution for your requirements

Completely solid-state, these units do not rely on traditional mechanical gyro systems. This means no limitation during usage, full 360 degrees operability in both pitch and bank. These units represent the future in aircraft horizon systems at a price that is making everything else obsolete. Just like that!
